Commercial Refrigeration Technician
LOCATION: BUNDABERG & SURROUNDS
Large cold storage. Custom-engineered plant. A team that's growing.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Located in Bundaberg and surrounds, you'll join a team of 8–10 techs that's expanding, working across some of the biggest refrigeration plant in the region.
Roughly 80% of the work is large cold storage, Bitzer and commercial gear, plus brand-new custom-engineered projects. The other 20% is VRF and HVAC in warehouse applications. Very little domestic.
This isn't a role for someone chasing an easy run. We want the tech who still gets a kick out of opening a cold-room door with the alarm going off. The one who likes a fault that doesn't add up straight away and has the diagnostic ability to chase it down.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
* Service, fault find and repair commercial refrigeration cold storage
* Diagnose and repair
* Preventative and reactive maintenance
* Commission and optimise new custom-engineered plant
* VRF and warehouse HVAC
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
* Strong fault-finding (it's the core of the job)
* Good attitude and communication skills
* Proven commercial refrigeration experience
* Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
* Full ARCtick refrigerant-handling licence
* Queensland Restricted Electrical Licence
* Open driver licence
WHAT’S ON OFFER
* $55–65/hr
* Hilux, fully set up, take home,
with a fuel card
* Overtime available if you want it,
not compulsory
* The usuals: phone, uniforms, specialised tools
* Ongoing technical training on plant most techs never touch
* Permanent position with a business that's expanding locally
